Following on from last year’s event The Malton festival of Racing will take place on Sunday 16th September sponsored again by Arena Racing Company.  This is already a big weekend for Yorkshire racing with ARC hosting the final classic of the season, The St Leger at Doncaster and this day gives the public chance to go behind the scenes in some of the North’s biggest yards.

Yards will be open throughout the morning in Malton and the outlying area and names already confirmed to take part include some of the biggest trainers in the town such as Richard Fahey and John Quinn.

In the afternoon the action will move to Highfield Gallops where we will see the return of the hugely popular jockey’s show jumping in conjunction with the Pony Club.  There will also be a parade of retired racehorses, a dog show, terrier racing, trade stands and much more.  All parking for this year’s event will be on Highfield Gallops and shuttle buses will run to the yards in town from here.
